My mother passed from IPF in 2006. It has started me on a new path in life. It is more an awareness that I could be susceptible. I am watching the nodules in my lungs for any change. It is interesting to see the connections of possible onset by EBV and DM. I added a link to the articles. I also add health tips from time to time. Check out the article on good eating by Everyday Health Inc.

Chronic viral infections caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), human herpesvirus 7 (HHV7), and herpesvirus 8 (HHV8) increase the risk of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), but not of acute flares that mark disease worsening, according to data from a meta-analysis study.
